What Options are available to our students?

Two choices are available to schools for student accreditation:

1.  The EQUALS Moving On Scheme.  Accreditation through EQUALS for the EQUALS Moving On units only (Traveller, Adventurer, Explorer and the Moving On Literacy & Numeracy).
Accreditation awarded by EQUALS is assessed against clear standards that relate to national norms such as the P Scales and there is no minimum or maximum number of units for which the student may be entered in any one year.

2.  Accreditation through the AQA for both the EQUALS Key Stage 4 Schemes of Work and the EQUALS Moving On (Traveller, Explorer, Adventurer and the Moving On Literacy & Numeracy).
Schools wishing to accredit students for KS4 and Moving On through the AQA will need to apply to become an AQA unit award scheme registered centre (if not already a registered centre) and should contact the AQA office on 01423 840015, or e-mail unitawardscheme@aqa.org.uk
CD ROM’S containing the assessment sheets for all of the units can be purchased from EQUALS.
