We want to provide a Mathematics curriculum that is relevant to our pupils, with lessons that are useful, engaging and fun. Lessons that offer learning opportunities for all who need to learn the Mathematics of living. It’s a big creative challenge but we can step towards it.
During this course Les Staves will introduce the new EQUALS guide to Mathematics.
The sessions will cover:
• The nature of the special Maths curriculum, and how it fits with the national curriculum and primary framework.
• The nature of pupil’s progress and the scope of Mathematics we need to cover for pupils working on P scales.
• Approaches to teaching and resources illustrated with real things.
• Opportunities to discuss planning and teaching ideas with colleagues.
Cost for workshop £135.00 members ex VAT, £150.00 non-members ex VAT
