The contents of this module reflect the guidance outlined in the Department for Education & Employment’s (DfES) Code of Practice on the Identification and Assessment of Special Educational Needs (Revised2002) which has been instrumental in supporting the move towards inclusiveness and early intervention within the early years. It provides you with practical advice and ideas on assessing and meeting the diverse needs of young children in order to ensure that they have full access to abroad and balanced Foundation Stage curriculum as well as guidance on the early identification of children at the early stages of ‘Early Years Action’ and ‘Early Years Action Plus’. |
