EQUALS Target Setting Review

The Target Setting Project has now been running successfully for seven years.  Interest from schools remains high with a record number of schools (150) entering the project in 2006.  The project has also developed internationally with schools in Hong Kong developing the scheme and, more recently, the whole of the Malta Special School Network adopted PACE and entered data into the project.  The project therefore represents a significant and global exemplar of good practice in the use of data and assessment. During 2007, EQUALS commissioned a review of the Target Project.

Data Collection & Analysis

• Schools are invited to submit data to the Curriculum Evaluation and Management Centre at Durham University, using the EQUALS PACE2 scheme to assess their pupils in the subjects of English, Maths, Science and PSHE and Citizenship.
