Target Setting Review
|
|
The Target Setting Project has now been running successfully for nine years. Interest from schools remains high with a record number of schools (150) entering the project in 2006. The project has also developed internationally with schools in Hong Kong developing the scheme and, more recently, the whole of the Malta Special School Network adopted PACE and entered data into the project. The project therefore represents a significant and global exemplar of good practice in the use of data and assessment.
During 2007, EQUALS commissioned a review of the Target Project.
The aims of the Review were:
• To engage with schools to ascertain how they are using data to support pupil's learning.
• To clearly articulate the work that EQUALS has pioneered in the area of data collection and analysis and target setting within schools.
• To further raise the profile of EQUALS work in the area of target setting.
•To provide EQUALS with a substantial piece of work that can be used to help ensure EQUALS offers a quality service to members.
Below is a report, which outlines the past, present and possible future elements of EQUALS Target Setting work, written by the EQUALS P Scales & Target Setting working party project leaders; John Ayres & Michael Thompson.
