Every Child Matters

The aim of the ECM programme is to give all children the support they need to:

• be healthy
• stay safe
• enjoy and achieve
• make a positive contribution
• achieve economic well-being

Spiritual, moral, social and cultural development has also been included as from Sept 09; it is an outcome within the Ofsted Framework. 

The EQUALS Schemes of Work have been aligned against the five ECM learning Outcomes. 

This provides an easy mechanism to enable you to check which ECM outcomes, can be covered by each particular new unit.
